Shocking Deportation Wave: 258 Pakistanis Kicked Out of Multiple Countries

In a major crackdown, 258 Pakistani nationals have been expelled from seven countries, including Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and China, in the past 24 hours. This mass deportation highlights the growing concern over illegal immigration and the misuse of travel documents.

Pakistani Passports and Emergency Travel Documents Involved

According to a report from Karachi’s Jinnah International Airport, 14 of the deported individuals were holding Pakistani passports. The remaining 244 people were carrying emergency travel documents, suggesting they were either undocumented or had overstayed their visas.

Professional Beggars Among Deportees from Saudi Arabia

Nine of the deported individuals had been expelled from Saudi Arabia, with many reportedly involved in begging for a living. Among them, two individuals were arrested for performing Haj without a permit and were sent back to Pakistan after serving their sentences. The authorities emphasized that the situation was part of a larger trend of people illegally working in foreign countries without proper documentation.

Deportations from Other Countries and Rising Trends

Besides Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and China, individuals were also deported from Qatar, Indonesia, Cyprus, and Nigeria. The deportations have seen an alarming rise, with authorities noting that the trend is becoming more frequent. In addition to deportations, the Federal Investigation Agency’s immigration cell at Karachi airport also deboarded 35 passengers who were traveling without the proper documents. These passengers were en route to several countries, including Saudi Arabia.

Deportation Reasons: Lack of Documentation and Funds

The deported passengers traveling to Saudi Arabia were found to have incomplete travel arrangements. Many travelers on Umrah visas were sent back due to missing hotel bookings or insufficient funds for their stay. Similarly, workers heading to Saudi Arabia were deboarded for lacking the necessary visa documents. The authorities have urged passengers to ensure their travel documents are complete and valid to avoid facing similar issues in the future.

Authorities Stress Importance of Proper Documentation for Safe Travel

Officials have emphasized the importance of ensuring that all travel documents, including visas, advance hotel bookings, and financial proof, are in order before making international trips. The rising number of deportations serves as a reminder to travelers to double-check their documentation to avoid facing unpleasant surprises while traveling abroad.
