Kim Jong-un’s Missiles Can Now Reach America — And That’s Just the Beginning

North Korea is no longer just issuing threats — it’s steadily building one of the most advanced and dangerous military arsenals in recent history. A new report by the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), titled “2025 Worldwide Threat Assessment”, has raised alarms across the globe. The report outlines emerging threats from countries like North Korea, China, Russia, and Iran, and highlights how North Korea has entered its strongest strategic position in decades.

Kim Jong-un Has Gained Confidence — and Firepower

According to the DIA, North Korea’s leader Kim Jong-un now feels more secure about both his regime’s survival and his international standing. This confidence is backed by his country’s growing missile and nuclear weapons programs, which pose a direct threat not just to Northeast Asia, but also to the U.S. mainland.

Weapons That Can Reach America

The report states that North Korea currently possesses military capabilities capable of endangering U.S. forces and allies in the region — and is actively enhancing its long-range strike potential.

A Dangerous Alliance: Russia, China, and Iran

The report also warns of a growing military collaboration. In exchange for support in the Ukraine war, Russia is providing North Korea with advanced missile, nuclear, and space technologies. China and Iran are reportedly involved as well — accelerating weapons programs that could evolve significantly in the next 3–5 years.

Illicit Tech Transfers Still Fueling North Korea

North Korea continues to illegally acquire critical components for its missile development — parts it cannot produce domestically. Much of this, the DIA claims, is made possible through support networks in China and Russia. Additionally, North Korea is expected to continue exporting missile technologies to dangerous regimes, further fueling global instability.

Beyond Weapons — A Bid for Recognition

This isn’t just about missiles. Experts believe Kim Jong-un’s ambition extends beyond military power: he’s seeking legitimacy and strategic leverage on the global stage. As North Korea grows bolder, the world is entering a new era of unpredictable threats and shifting alliances.
