India Breaches Pakistani Air Defence Twice in Two Nights

In a bold move, Indian security forces successfully penetrated Pakistan’s air defence systems for two consecutive nights. Drones were dispatched deep into Pakistani territory, including major cities like Lahore and Rawalpindi, after Islamabad launched a failed strike on Indian radar installations using loitering munitions.

Pakistani HQ-9 Missile Units Suffer Major Damage

According to the Ministry of Defence, India’s counter-operation inflicted heavy damage on Pakistan’s HQ-9 air defence missile systems. The air defence unit stationed in Lahore was reportedly neutralised, exposing a major vulnerability in Pakistan’s defence grid.

Terror Camps in Punjab Targeted by Indian Missiles

On May 7, Indian missiles crossed into Pakistani airspace and struck multiple terror camps in Punjab province. The strikes went unchallenged by Pakistani air defence units, signaling serious lapses in their early warning systems.

Foiled Attack on Indian Military Targets

The Indian strike was a retaliatory response to an attempted offensive by Pakistan, which involved drones and missiles aimed at key Indian military installations in cities including Srinagar, Jammu, Pathankot, Amritsar, Chandigarh, and Bhuj on the night of May 7–8. India’s Integrated Counter-UAS Grid and Air Defence systems swiftly neutralised the incoming threats.

Debris Confirms Pakistani Aggression

The Ministry of Defence confirmed the recovery of drone and missile debris from various locations, providing concrete evidence of the Pakistani assault. These findings highlight the scale and coordination of the attempted strikes on Indian territory.

Unprovoked Cross-Border Shelling Kills 16 Civilians

Escalating tensions, Pakistan has intensified unprovoked shelling along the Line of Control (LoC). Mortar and artillery fire were reported in Kupwara, Baramulla, Uri, Poonch, Mendhar, and Rajouri sectors of Jammu and Kashmir. Tragically, sixteen civilians, including three women and five children, have lost their lives in the ongoing aggression.

India Destroys Nine Terror Bases in Retaliation

Following a deadly terror attack in Pahalgam, Indian forces launched a precision military operation targeting nine terror infrastructures across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). The operation reportedly eliminated around 100 terrorists, sending a strong message against cross-border terrorism.

PM Modi Reviews National Security Amid High Alert

With regional tensions at a peak, Prime Minister Narendra Modi convened a high-level meeting with NSA Ajit Doval and Union Home Secretary Govind Mohan to assess the evolving security scenario. India remains on high alert, with mock drills conducted across several states to bolster preparedness.
