How Iran’s Latest Appointment Could Turn the Tide Against Israel’s Airstrikes!
The Israeli-Iranian conflict has escalated to a critical stage. The head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) intelligence, Brigadier General Mohammad Kazemi, and his deputy, Hassan Mohaghegh, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on 15 June. Brigadier General Majid Khadami was named the new head of Iran’s IRGC intelligence unit six days later. Khadami was previously in charge of Iran’s Ministry of Defense’s Intelligence Protection Organisation.
Khadami’s appointment was formally announced by IRGC Commander-in-Chief Major General Mohammad Pakpour. Fars News Agency claims that Khadami contributes a wealth of internal security and counterintelligence expertise to the IRGC. He has a solid background in stopping information leaks and espionage, which is an essential skill set in light of the ongoing Israeli strikes on Iran’s nuclear and military installations.
It is anticipated that Khadami’s knowledge of intelligence protection will strengthen Iran’s military fortitude. As tensions rise, his role will be crucial in coordinating intelligence operations and safeguarding sensitive nuclear sites. The Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei’s larger plan to maintain military command structures in the face of increased conflict is thought to include this action.

Israel used more than 200 fighter jets to strike several military installations as well as nuclear sites in Fordow and Natanz. According to reports, these attacks claimed the lives of several senior IRGC commanders, including Mohammad Bagheri and Hossein Salami. Iran retaliated by firing ballistic missiles at Israeli cities, damaging vital infrastructure such as the Bazan oil refinery in Haifa.
With US President Donald Trump hinting at a potential military response against Iran, the conflict has garnered international attention. This has raised doubts about whether the conflict will worsen and attract more foreign parties to the battle.
