Through his social media account Truth Social, U.S. President Donald Trump declared that the United States had successfully launched an airstrike against three Iranian nuclear facilities: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan. He declared that the operation was a total success and that every aircraft had safely left Iranian airspace.
Fordow Complex “Completely Destroyed”
Fordow, a hardened underground facility close to Ghom, is now “gone,” Trump stressed. Up to 3,000 uranium-enrichment centrifuges were reportedly housed at the site, which was found in 2009 and was constructed in tunnels that were 60–90 meters deep. “FORDOW IS GONE,” he declared in capital letters, emphasising the complete destruction.

Strategic Timing and Ultimatum
The strike comes after Trump recently gave Iran a two-week ultimatum, which sparked fears that the United States would postpone taking military action. Nevertheless, the operation was carried out ahead of schedule.
Precision Strike by B‑2 Stealth Bombers
Although Trump didn’t specify the delivery method, U.S. defense sources confirm the use of advanced B‑2 Spirit stealth bombers. These aircraft can carry the 30,000 lb GBU‑57 bunker-buster bombs, specifically designed to destroy deeply buried targets like Fordow.
Local Reports of Explosions
Residents near Fordow in the city of Qom reported hearing loud explosions late Saturday night. According to Iranian state news agency FARS, air defenses were activated before the attack, but the stealth capabilities of the bombers rendered them ineffective.
