Elon Musk’s Social Media Platform 'X' Crashes Big Time — Users Outraged!
Social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter and owned by Elon Musk, encountered a significant service disruption today, causing widespread inconvenience for users across the United States and India. Reports of malfunctions began flooding outage tracking platforms, revealing that the disruption impacted core features and basic usability for a large number of users.
By 8:39 a.m. EDT (6:09 p.m. IST), outage monitoring website Downdetector recorded a surge of over 25,000 user complaints in the United States alone. Users reported being unable to access essential parts of the platform, signaling a large-scale technical failure.
The outage was not limited to the U.S.—in India, users experienced trouble with fundamental elements of the platform. Features like the ‘For You’, ‘Following’, and ‘Notifications’ panels failed to load properly. Multiple attempts to refresh feeds proved futile, leaving timelines stuck and unresponsive.
Beyond content updates, users also found themselves unable to perform basic tasks such as logging into their accounts, accessing the app, or even loading the website. The blackout not only disrupted casual browsing but also hindered real-time communication for many.
While the exact cause of the outage has yet to be confirmed by X’s technical team, the scope of the disruption indicates a significant backend issue. Users and analysts are awaiting an official statement to clarify the nature and expected resolution timeline for the problem.
