U.S. Just Bombed Iran's Top Nuclear Sites: Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan
U.S. President Donald Trump declared that American forces had successfully launched airstrikes on three important nuclear facilities in Iran—Fordow, Natanz, and Isfahan—in a dramatic escalation of the Middle East conflict. In the midst of stalling diplomatic talks, the strike was intended to send a strong message and cripple Iran’s nuclear ambitions.
Trump confirmed the operation on Truth Social, his social media platform. According to him, Fordow was the main target, but all targeted sites were hit. He claimed that a “full payload of bombs” was dropped on Fordow, one of Iran’s most heavily fortified nuclear facilities and known to have been constructed beneath a mountain.
“We have completed our very successful attack on the three Nuclear sites in Iran… All planes are now outside of Iran airspace… Congratulations to our great American Warriors. NOW IS THE TIME FOR PEACE!” – Donald Trump
Prior to the attack, military observers noticed B-2 stealth bombers flying west across the Pacific. These bombers, capable of carrying 30,000-pound bunker-buster bombs, were believed to be en route to strike Fordow. The movement added to growing speculation that the U.S. was preparing a surprise strike.
Aircraft Model | Capability | Role in Mission |
---|---|---|
B-2 Spirit Stealth Bomber | 30,000-lb bunker-buster bomb | Penetrating fortified sites |
F-22 Raptor | Air superiority & escort | Protecting bombers |
KC-135 Stratotanker | Aerial refueling | Extended mission range |
Date | Event |
---|---|
Two Weeks Ago | Trump issued a diplomatic deadline to Iran |
48 Hours Ago | Stealth bombers spotted over the Pacific |
Last Night | Full airstrike executed on three nuclear sites |
Of all the sites, Fordow received the heaviest bombardment. The site, hidden deep inside a mountain, has long been considered one of Iran’s most secure nuclear facilities. Hitting it required advanced technology and precise execution.
This sudden escalation is expected to heighten tensions across the Middle East. Analysts warn of potential retaliatory measures from Iran or its allies in the region. Governments worldwide are calling for restraint and dialogue.
Interestingly, Trump’s post included a strong call for peace following the attack. He praised the “unmatched strength” of the U.S. military while expressing hope that this strike would pave the way for diplomacy.
With global powers watching closely, questions remain:
World leaders are expected to issue statements in the coming hours. The UN Security Council may hold an emergency meeting to discuss the implications of the attack.
