Blasts and Gunfire Shake Lahore; Karachi Rattled by Loud Explosion

Panic swept across Lahore on Thursday morning after three powerful explosions were reported on Walton Road, leaving four Pakistan Army personnel injured. The blasts triggered chaos among residents who ran out of their homes seeking safety.

Gunshots Heard Hours After Blasts

Local media also reported the sound of gunfire echoing through parts of Lahore just hours after the morning explosions, deepening the sense of fear and uncertainty among citizens.

Karachi Hit by Explosion in Malir

Adding to the unrest, an explosion was heard in Karachi’s Sharafi Goth area of Malir, according to early reports. Details about casualties or damage are yet to be confirmed.

Multiple Blasts Trigger Widespread Panic in Lahore

Visuals aired by local outlets showed frantic scenes across Lahore. Residents poured onto the streets, visibly shaken, as smoke filled the skies following the explosions. Two loud blasts were also reported near Askari 5, with eyewitnesses noting smoke rising from the Naval College.

Fresh Explosion Reported in Burki Area

Another explosion was reported in Lahore’s Burki locality earlier in the day, increasing the anxiety in a city already on edge. Reports continue to emerge as security agencies assess the situation.

Flight Routes Suspended Amid Border Tensions

Amid the rising tension, air routes over Lahore and Sialkot were temporarily suspended for commercial flights. Both airports will remain closed until 12 noon on Thursday, according to aviation authorities.
