After Priyanka Gandhi officially announced her decision to contest the by-elections from the Wayanad constituency, there was subsequent speculation about her husband, Robert Vadra, also venturing into politics. Vadra has expressed his interest in pursuing a political career, stating that he would consider doing so only after Priyanka has firmly established herself in the political arena.

Robert Vadra Statement

“I have always had a strong desire to be actively involved in politics. It has been my hope for some time now that Priyanka Gandhi would become a Member of Parliament. I am sincerely hopeful that she will secure a significant victory. My expectation is that she will effectively address the genuine concerns of the people. Priyanka is a remarkably astute and capable individual. I have, for quite some time, held the desire for her to be a member of Parliament before me,” Robert Vadra expressed in an exclusive interview with PTI.

Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, a well-known member of the Nehru-Gandhi political family, is planning to participate in her first election by running in the upcoming by-election in Wayanad, a district in the southern state of Kerala. This specific district was recently won by her brother, Rahul Gandhi. At 52 years old, Priyanka will be vying to secure a parliamentary seat for the Congress party in the upcoming election.
