IMS Law College Organizes Educational Tour to NFSL

Noida: IMS Law College, Noida organized an educational tour aimed at strengthening the practical knowledge of its law students. On Wednesday, the students visited the National Forensic Science Laboratory (NFSL) located in Delhi. The objective of this academic visit was to familiarize students with forensic science procedures, techniques, and its crucial role in criminal investigations.

Professor (Dr.) Vikas Dhawan, Director General of IMS, appreciated the initiative and emphasized that legal education should not be confined to theoretical knowledge alone. He stated that exposing students to real-world scenarios empowers them to become better professionals.

Hands-On Learning Experience

Dr. Anjum Hasan, Head of the Law Department at IMS Law College, shared that during the visit, students observed various sections of the laboratory, including Document Examination, Fingerprint Analysis, DNA Testing, and Cyber Forensics. Experts interacted with the students, providing them with insights into the modern tools and techniques used in the lab and explained forensic investigation processes in detail.

Bridging Theory with Practice

The tour coordinator, Professor Vyas Kumar Yadav, explained that the visit to the NFSL gave students the opportunity to connect their theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Students observed firsthand how scientific methods help in solving criminal cases. He also informed that Professor Pushpendra Kumar and Professor Santosh Sati accompanied the students as assistant coordinators during the visit.
