Netflix has announced that Season 5 will be released in three parts:

Volume 1: November 26, 2025 – Episodes 1–4
Volume 2: December 25, 2025 – Episodes 5–7
Finale: December 31, 2025 – Episode 8

This staggered release aims to build anticipation and provide fans with a prolonged farewell to the beloved series. Returning cast members include Winona Ryder (Joyce Byers), David Harbour (Jim Hopper), Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), Finn Wolfhard (Mike), Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin), Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas), Noah Schnapp (Will), Joe Keery (Steve), Sadie Sink (Max), Natalia Dyer (Nancy), Charlie Heaton (Jonathan), Maya Hawke (Robin), Brett Gelman (Murray), Priah Ferguson (Erica), and Jamie Campbell Bower (Vecna). The final battle in Hawkins is set in the fall of 1987, 18 months after the events of Season 4. The town is now under military quarantine due to multiple rifts opening to the Upside Down. At the heart of the story is the group’s mission to find and defeat Vecna, who mysteriously disappeared after the climactic events of the previous season. Meanwhile, the government has increased its efforts to capture Eleven, forcing her into hiding. As the anniversary of Will’s disappearance approaches, an eerie sense of fear returns to Hawkins, setting the stage for an emotional and action-filled conclusion. Filming for Season 5 began in January 2024 and wrapped up in December 2024, after overcoming delays due to industry strikes.
