China's Secret War Plan? Massive Nuclear Expansion Uncovered

China is rapidly expanding its nuclear weapons arsenal, sparking global security concerns. A new intelligence assessment by the U.S. Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA) has revealed that China has surpassed the threshold of 600 operational nuclear warheads and is on track to deploy over 1,000 by 2030. This explosive revelation was part of the DIA’s 2025 global threat assessment report.

China’s Nuclear Stockpile Crosses 600 Warheads

According to the report, China has already deployed more than 600 operational nuclear weapons. Analysts now estimate that by 2030, the country could possess over 1,000 such weapons, most of which will be maintained at high levels of readiness for rapid deployment. The assessment also predicts that China will continue expanding its arsenal at least until 2035.

Why the World Should Be Worried

This nuclear acceleration isn’t just about defense — it’s part of Beijing’s broader ambition to challenge U.S. dominance and assert control in East Asia, particularly around Taiwan. The report highlights that China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA) is building a more versatile and high-readiness nuclear force capable of conducting both precision tactical strikes and large-scale intercontinental missile attacks.

A Strategic Power Play

Experts say this move underscores China’s strategy to gain political, military, and strategic leverage. Deploying a significant portion of its warheads at high alert levels reflects Beijing’s intention to enhance its deterrence and retaliatory capabilities in case of conflict.

India and Regional Implications

The report also notes a significant shift in South Asia: for the first time, India’s nuclear arsenal has surpassed Pakistan’s. According to SIPRI’s 2024 report, India holds 172 nuclear weapons, while Pakistan has 170. India is reportedly focusing more on long-range delivery systems capable of reaching deep into Chinese territory, signaling a strategic pivot.

Global Nuclear Landscape

As of June 2024, Russia and the U.S. collectively possess 90% of the world’s nuclear weapons. Russia has 4,380 warheads, while the U.S. has around 3,708. China’s rapid build-up now threatens to disrupt the long-standing nuclear balance among global superpowers.
